Development of National and International Standards

Research Center of Informatic Industries, utilizing its experienced and specialized personnel, has collaborated with the Iranian National Standards Organization (INSO) and the Radio Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) in developing national standards in order to help create the necessary infrastructure for implementing standards in the country.

RCII has over 25 years of developing national standards in the following fields with collaboration of the Iran National Standards Organization (INSO):

The Iran National Electrotechnical Committee (INEC) is established under the supervision of the Iran National Standards Organization (INSO) in order to regulate of Islamic Republic of Iran participation in IEC activities and promote implementation of IEC standards in Iran, and collaborate with other related organizations at international, regional and national level.

RCII as an active member of the INEC is working in the fields of standards development and conformity assessment.

RCII standard development objectives is aligned with INEC:

To participate in technical activities of INEC, such as standards development
To participate in development of Iranian National standards on the basis of IEC standards
To participate in activities of international, regional and national organizations in electric and electronic fields

The Iran National Electrotechnical Committee (INEC) has been established to organize the participation of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the activities of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) and to collaborate with other related organizations at the international, regional, and national levels for the protection and supervision of Iran National Standards Organization. The IEC National Committee of Iran (INEC) is a full member of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). According to the IEC Statutes, a national committee must be formed in each country seeking membership in the organization. This objective has been realized in Iran with the establishment of INEC.
